Sioned Hughes

 

Sioned began singing at an early age in the Tabernacle Chapel Dolgellau. In her late teens Sioned has sung in choirs within the Young Farmers Dolgellau and has won the Ladies Solo under 21 throughout Wales when she was 18 in the All Wales Young Farmers Eisteddfod. In the Urdd Eisteddfod, sioned also came Third in the Solo and Second in the Duet.

Sioned has appeared as a soloist in two television programmes on S4C. Sioned has been to New York in the United States as the guest soloist with hte Dolgellau Male Voice Choir and also sang in a Cymanfa Ganu in Los Angeles as wel as visiting Canada with Meibion Prysor Male Voice.

In 2006 Sioned won the Contralto Solo at the National Eisteddfod in Swansea and has sung with many choirs and in many concerts throughout Wales.
